I’ll be getting my own website soon, that’s why I’ve been too busy to post updates here. Anyway here are some:
3rd year students: I basically explained to you guys about our intensive grammar lessons that will transpire during the rest of what’s left of the 3rd Quarter. Aside from that, there are some section-specific reminders here:
On Tuesday we’ll start our discussion on grammar basics. I hate doing remedial lessons but seeing that this will all benefit you especially next year, I tried to pursue this project.
4th year students: Since there was a misunderstanding on schedule last Thursday, I wasn’t able to meet Antarctica. Anyway:
May I remind you guys that when I’m not around, that would be your chance to catch up with your theses. Some of you, as I’ve observed, were doing their assignments during my time. I do understand your situation but please do remember that you’re doing it during my period, when you’re supposed to be doing tasks that I expect all of you to do (and home works are supposed to be done in your homes).
Chapter 2 of your theses is due on December 18, 2009. On Monday I’ll give those groups whom I haven’t given research articles things that I’ve research in UP. A little help for your chapter 2.
All students: I’ll uploading our lectures from our previous meetings. Your 3rd Quarterly Exam according to the Academic Calendar is scheduled on January 14-16, 2010. Oh, and don’t forget to attend the Battle of the Bands event. Please do look up http://www.sjbschoolofrock.co.cc for more details.
4th year students: We will start on Chapter 1 of your thesis next week. Monday to Wednesday will be devoted to the research discussions and consultations. Thursday and Friday will be Literature days, as we will tackle the Nibelungenlied. The first draft of Chapter 1 is to be submitted on November 6, Friday next week. The second draft is due on Novermber 13. The third draft will be submitted on November 20, and the final draft will be submitted on November 27. I expect all of you to have your respective finalized topics next week. For those who will be using the correlation coefficient, make sure that your variables are both quantitative.
While browsing the internet, I came across this site that freely gives scales for researchers. The scales measure the following variables:
Also, this site freely distributes scales that measure personality, music preference, and personal space. I haven’t checked all of these scales but they might help you in finalizing your topics.
3rd year students: I was impressed with Australia’s performance in their preparation for the discussion of the reading selection. Kudos to all of you guys and please continue doing so. Don’t forget the activity that I assigned to all of you, due on Friday. For New Zealand, we will meet next week Monday for the discussion of the reading. Please prepare for an intensive discussion. Please remember your reports that will start next week, Tuesday.
4th year students: Lecture and Take Home Exercise on Research Variables were uploaded. Please click here and here or go to the Downloads Section.
3rd year students: We are going to discuss the reading selection. Please read them actively and critically. Details about your report will be posted soon. Stay tuned.

Though there’s still an exam pending to be taken on Tuesday, I congratulate all of you for surviving all of the exams you’ve taken so far. I’m now checking your exams, hoping that no one will be getting a mark lower than 80% xD
For the meantime, please take note of the details written below.
4th year students: I’ll still discuss this on Wednesday. Anyway there are two things that I want all of you to remember this 3rd quarter.
3rd year students: You’ll have an activity where in you’ll have to report on the other writers of the Renaissance and their works. We will also have remedial grammar and composition lessons, probably every Monday for New Zealand and every Friday for Australia. Please start reading on the rest of the writers of the Renaissance.
I’ll post updates here as soon as I can. To those who were having hard time accessing this website, please bear with me for awhile, as I am currently in the process of buying my own domain, www.adobosoda.com, and hosting the website to a more reliable webhost.
4th year Antartica: Your reports were rescheduled tomorrow. Please come to class prepared. Being able to anticipate problems is in itself preparation.
